About this member

Prof. D. Grosso was born in France 1970. After obtaining a PhD in developing sol-gel coatings for Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) in UK, he moved to the Netherlands to work for Philips on materials for microelectronics. He was appointed as associate professor in 2002, and as full-professor in 2007, at the University of Paris. He works in the Laboratory Chimie de la Matière Condensée de Paris (LCMCP) on the synthesis of nanostructured materials through liquid processing approaches. Most of his achievements concern nanostructured thin films and aerosol materials. He has co-developed the whole concept of coating processing from chemical solutions in a controlled environment. He is co-authors of around 150 articles and 15 patents with a h factor of 48. His work was awarded by the International Sol-gel Society (ISGS) in 2005 and by the French Society of Chemistry (SFC) in 2009. He has been a junior member of the French Institute of University since 2009 and he is co-founder of two start-up.
